Hypnosis Helps You Make Changes Naturally

One-on-One hypnosis sessions  help you reach your goals and make desired changes by creating new automatic behavior. The Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapy office is located in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, California.

The word ‘hypnosis’ may suggest the mysterious or even the occult, but nothing could be further from the truth. Hypnosis is, in fact, a natural state that we go into every night as we fall asleep, every morning as we move from sleeping to waking and every time we learn anything new. This is why hypnosis is so successful in helping people reach their goals and dreams.

Benefits of Hypnosis Fall into the Following Categories:

  • Behavior Changes: smoking, weight loss, anxiety, panic attack, fear, phobia, alcohol abuse, drug abuse
  • Medical Issues: IBS relief, hypertension, PTSS, trouble sleeping, reduce pain, fear of dentist, hypno-anesthesia, labor/childbirth
  • Emotional Relief: lower stress, panic attack, anxiety, stress disorders, depression, anger management, fear, phobia
  • Improve Performance: sports, school, ADD/ADHD, test- taking, public speaking, confidence, motivation, sexual issues

Hypnosis occurs naturally every ninety minutes, when the brain “changes sides,” moving natural from left side dominance to right side dominance.  You may notice yourself “spacing out,” as your mind moves into an imaginative state.  You might think about the things you need to do or things you’d rather be doing. :-) But you’ll probably experience it as a sense of zoning out.  This “zoning out” time is necessary for brain and psychological health so don’t feel guilty or try to fight it.  Take a moment to breathe deeply and check in with yourself.  This kind of habit will reward you in spades.

Research has shown hypnosis accelerates the learning process by allowing you to focus inwardly, blocking out external stimuli and narrowing the focus to the chosen topic.  In fact, if you think about it, don’t we generally take breaks about every ninety minutes at work.  It’s written into the labor laws.  Who knew???

How Hypnosis Works

The subconscious mind has unlimited power to create change, almost like magic. That is a known fact. What is not as well-known is that when we are learning anything, we go into a naturally occurring hypnotic state.

Hypnosis works because learning is accelerated in hypnosis.  When you imagine a new behavior, you go into hypnosis. When you imagine a new behavior IN HYPNOSIS, it as if you were laying down a template or blueprint for new behavior.

Hypnosis Helps You Reach Goals Easily

For instance, when you imagine yourself NOT SMOKING in situations in which you would normally smoke, for example, you are setting down new behaviors for being in those situations WITHOUT thinking about smoking.

Imagine having a sip of water instead and generating the same pleasure, inner calm, or energy that you think you get from smoking.

After hypnosis you will find yourself sipping refreshing water to satisfy those “needs” instead of smoking a cigarette.

All behavioral change begins in your imagination.  Hypnosis helps embed those changes into the automatic behavior part of your brain.  Think: tying your shoelaces, brushing your teeth, driving.  At one time those behaviors were not automatic.

Over time, with repetition, ESPECIALLY THE REPEATING OF THE BEHAVIOR IN YOUR IMAGINATION, as in visualizing it, remembering it in your muscle memory, remembering the words you say to yourself when learning that new behavior, the behavior becomes AUTOMATIC.

Whenever you learn anything, you go into a natural state of hypnosis.  Hypnosis ACCELERATES learning.  That is why hypnosis is so effective in making behavior changes like habit of mind or body.

What you Imagine Becomes Your Reality

Whatever you imagine repeatedly embeds itself into the automatic part of your brain.  Therefore, behavior that is imagined will become automatic behavior. You will naturally and automatically experience the changes in behavior, habit, even addiction, that you desire or prefer. Almost like magic

How do We Know?

Statistics support the amazing results using hypnosis/hypnotherapy for successful self-improvement such as quitting smoking, losing weight, eliminating anxiety disorders and panic attacks, pain reduction, reducing test-taking anxiety and more.  Statistics also bear out the almost magical results in elimination of phobias, building of confidence, ending insomnia, reducing stress and stress-related medical conditions.

Some Hypnosis Facts

Hypnosis has an almost 100% success rate in eliminating panic attacks.  All that is required of the sufferer is to listen to the hypnosis recordings in the first few weeks of their hypnotherapy.

Hypnosis has been clinically proven to be the most successful aid in quitting smoking. While success in smoking cessation is also associated with the level of commitment and determination possessed by the smoker to become smoke-free, hypnosis is an invaluable tool for success in this process.

Hypnosis has an amazing track-record in helping people lose weight and become fit by reducing cravings and comfort eating, naturally instilling portion control and reviving the eating intuition found in babies between birth and 18 months.  Hypnosis Gastro Bypass is gaining in success and popularity.

Hypnosis for pain reduction is effective, especially for those with severe chronic pain as well as those who are not able to take pain medication, such as recovering drug addicts and the elderly.

HypnoBirthing is gaining in popularity as more and more parents choose water births, home births, births with mid-wives, using hypnosis for general reduction in the use of pain medications and epidurals.

Hypnosis in Medical Treatment

Clinical research shows improvement in immune function using hypnosis as well in medical issues where medication or surgery are contra-indicated. People who cannot tolerate anesthetics have had major surgery with only hypnosis.  Amazing?  But quite true.

There are many incidents in medical literature where hypnosis was the only anesthetic used. The esteemed but now-deceased John Kappas, founder of the Hypnosis Motivation Institute in Tarzana, California, used only hypnosis as anesthetic in his own quadruple cardiac bypass surgery in the mid 1990’s, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles, California.

Hypnosis was used for hundreds of years before anesthetics were discovered. For those who knew how to induce hypnosis for surgical patients, many lives were saved over those poor unfortunates who were strapped down and cut open or fed enough alcohol to become unconscious.

Hypnosis in your Daily Life

Hypnosis occurs naturally all the time. You go into hypnosis when you drive (also called ‘driving hypnosis’ or ‘highway hypnosis’), become engrossed in a movie, TV, the computer.

Whenever you are so lost in thought that you are no longer aware of anything external to those thoughts, you have been IN HYPNOSIS.

If you have any questions at all, whether you’re interested in using hypnosis for a goal that you would like to accomplish or you’re just curious, please feel free to call me.  I love telling people about the ‘magic’ of hypnosis.
