Did you know there is a book called the Tao of Pooh? Did you know that the Winnie the Pooh adventures are actually full of wisdom? Maybe this is why Pooh bear remains a favorite of kids for generations.

"Promise me you'll always remember:  You're braver than you believe and stronger than you think you are, ...and smarter than you think." – Christopher Robin to Pooh

What does changing your brain and living a life of wonder look like?

Do you remember being young? Full of life, dreams and wonder? You’d tell tall tales about how grand life is. Driving at 60 miles an hour meant you were really going 1,000 miles an hour.

Then we learn that dreams aren’t practical. You have a dream and tell someone. When that dream doesn’t come true you hear a “told you so”. Before long you are labeled a dreamer and slowly slide into the mundane.

According to the Center for Disease Control, about 4 out of 10 Americans have not discovered a satisfying life purpose. Forty percent either do not think their lives have a clear sense of purpose or are neutral about whether their lives have a purpose. Nearly 1/4 of Americans feel neutral or do not have a strong sense of what makes their lives meaningful. ~ The Atlantic, There’s More to Life Than Being Happy

Do you live in a world of Impossible dreams?

How many times did you dream about something only to find out it didn’t happen?

As a kid, nothing was impossible. But as an adult, most things seem impossible.

Because as you grow older and experienced setbacks and disappointments, you stopped dreaming. You started settling for what you could accomplish or what you felt you deserved.

It's tragic. Most of our lives become tragic plays. So much hope and potentially turn into living small and settling. Because everything seems so hard.

No matter if you have had little success or large successes, you already know the formula. If you learned something new last year, you had success. You have the formula for success in any area of life.

What you are missing is the belief that you can still make wonderful things happen.

The 2 step way to change your thinking

Do you want to know the remedy? It’s a two part-er:

  1. Change your brain, change your life. This is a book written by Dr. Amen. Another one on the subject is The Emotional Life of Your Brain. There are many ways to change your brain. I focus on hypnotherapy.

Hypnotherapy adds the additional element of relaxation. Who doesn’t need that in today’s world?

  1. Take a few minutes out of your day to dream BIG once again. Consider this a muscle that needs to be exercised before it will become effective. Don’t skip a day. The more you do it, the more your life will begin to change.

Changing your happiness in action

Divide your life up into areas that are important to you.

Here’s an example:

  • Money
  • Relationships
  • Personal or Spiritual growth

Have a heart-to-heart conversation with yourself. Where would you like to be? Remember, you already know how to create success.

If you didn’t have a lack of skill, money, time and belief, where would you be in the areas above?

  • Who would be around you?
  • What does your perfect day look like?
  • Where would you be – geographically, physically and emotionally?
  • Why would you do what you do for money and for others?
  • How would your life look?

Congratulations! You just created your dream life.

Take notes and write it down. No one has to ever see it.  Each day come up with more ideas on how to achieve this dream.

Before each daily session, give yourself permission to dream big. Don’t ever think that’s not possible. If you do, just remember you know how to have success. It is just a matter of changing your brain.

Remember:

"You're braver than you believe and stronger than you think you are, and smarter than you think."
